My work is the amalgamation of formative experiences in my craft and my exploration into its roots. I attempt to highlight the inherent beauty of wood as a medium by removing visual noise and centering my focus on lines and shape. At the same time I strive to build objects that will outlast myself and generations to come. I strive to accomplish this by solely using hand tools with a focus on Japanese kanna, which I believe brings me closer to my medium and the true nature of my craft.
This section will be regularly updated with an active list of classes that I will be teaching or events where I will be speaking.
